When I first started blogging and went on a rampant hunt for inspiration, Natasha’s style blog, Girl in the Lens was one of the first ones I saw and immediately loved! I love how she makes effortless style look, well, effortless. She is exceptional when it comes to dressing down dressy pieces and dressing up casual looks. Every time I visit her blog I am expecting something fun and totally cute. Natasha also showcases great inspirational content from editorial pictures to her I Want it Wednesday posts.

1. How did you put your look together?
I fell in love with this dress the instant I saw it; the cool print and vivid colours give it something more than just your usual going out dress. I teamed it with pastel denim heels to keep the focus on the dress and gothic jewellery and a quirky bag for a big of edge.
2. How would you describe your personal style?
Pretty easy-going. I will never wear anything I’m not comfortable in – to me, style is all about expressing your personality and mood, so I’d never wear something just for the sake of a trend or designer. I like my outfits to not be either too girly or grungy. Somewhere in-between that is perfect for me!
3. What advice would you give someone who would like to achieve this look?
To tone down the sexiness of a dress and still keep things casual when you’re dressing to go out, shoes are so important. A chunky heel in a more casual fabric is great for this. I always find silver jewellery good to add some boyishness to any outfit, and try a bag with an interesting shape to add an interesting element to your evening look.
4. Where did you purchase the items you are wearing?
The dress is from Motel, the shoes are from Topshop (via eBay – got them for a bargain £7!), the bag is a vintage find from my mum’s wardrobe and the jewellery was gifted from Astrid & Miyu and Trash & Trinkets.
