All White and a Little Bit of Leather

It is officially cold enough for me to rock a little bit of leather and I am so excited! Now, although it is time for leather accents and darker colors I am still slightly holding on to a little bit of sunshine and rocking my leather piece with an all white look.

Oh and excuse the in home decor, it was to cold to be snapping pictures outside 🙂

Wrapped Jolie Leg

Well hello there! Yes, I am still around and blogging. I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus lately. So many changes all at once, it has been an emotional roller coaster to say the least. But I’m back and ready for some action! Hence my bold split detail.

A wrap dress should be a staple piece in everyone’s closets. They suck you in and shape you up and create a dreamy silhouette. This particular wrap dress adds an extra piece of “hey now” to my over all look. You guys know how much I love to take a classic piece, keep it simple and add just a slight bit of edge. To vamp up this look I took this great shell necklace I found on one of my treasure hunts and added a modern punch with a pair of neon pumps.

What I’m wearing:

Dress: old

Necklace: vintage find

Funny thing about this dress is that it has been chillin in my closet for years but somehow worked its way into an ultra chic look. Have you ever found an old piece that worked in present time just as much as it did back in the day? Angelina ain’t got nothing on me! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by everyone!

Meshed Martini with a Twist

To say we were experiencing a heat wave is an understatement. This weekend I baked and broiled my way through the city and made sure I did it as cool as possible. I attended the Lily Kai Vintage Style Suite this weekend at the Buckhead Bottle Bar. I shopped, I drank, I ate and had a great time spending time with some of the fashionable women of Atlanta. It was so hot I left my camera in the car and didn’t get one shot of the fab event and I’m a little upset about that. Nontheless I really enjoyed myself and here is what I wore 🙂

What I am wearing:

I am thrifted from head to toe. I randomly have these style epiphanies that can’t be found in an average everyday go to shops. So I take to consignment shops and thrift stores to find a unique piece to display my random style idea.

I wanted to make my look pop and slightly more festive so I added my martini print scarf. This scarf brought a little life to an overall clean look and it also saved the fate of my neck from the heat. If I wore my hair down I am sure my neck would have fallen off. These sexy ankle strap sandals complimented the less is more mood of this look and paired nicely with the unique woven clutch. I really love how the look came together. What do you guys think?

Thanks everyone for stopping by! Enjoy your Monday! And Happy holidays 🙂

Peace Love Style,

Scarfin It

It is absolutely unheard of to rock a scarf in its natural form during the sizzling hot summer days in the south. Over the years we have had to get creative with the way we style our scarves so that we don’t have to pack them away, never to be seen again until the winter season. I enjoy the way a scarf can add a pop of depth, color or pattern to any look. So while the earth spends the summer time keeping us in a heat choke hold, I will use my scarves in the next best possible way, on my head!

Scarves Dot Net laced me with this super chic scarf that I used as a pop of color and hint of extra pattern for this cool summer look. Um, and can I just say that the selection on Scarves Dot Net is simply amazing. There is a scarf for almost every style personality you can dream of and the price points are, to say the least, on point as well.

I mixed my scarf with this great tribal print top, destroyed jean shorts and my favorite pair of gladiator sandals. To take the look one step further I finished it with subtle printed bag. I managed to mix a total of three different prints flawlessly by keeping them simple and pulling them together with complimenting neutral accents.

What I am Wearing:

Scarf: Scarves Dot Net

Top: Thrifted

Shorts: Abercrombie and Fitch

Shoes: Charles by Charles David

Bag: Vintage

Thanks for stopping by lovers and when you get a chance go over to Scarves Dot Net and browse the variety of chic scarves! I’ll be scarfin it this summer, will you?

Wrinkled Neon

Yes, I am neon addicted! I particularly like to mix it with a look that is laid back and casual because it easily makes a thrown together outfit look totally chic. Although these shorts are attracted to wrinkles no matter how many times they are ironed [ insert side eye here], I am obsessed with them. They are comfy, versatile and pair well with the lightweight tunic, perfect for a girl on the go like me. I’m running around crazy this week so I don’t have much time to chat. Enjoy the rather casual, lazy look and I’ll talk to you guys soon! 🙂

What I am Wearing:

Top: Thrifted

Shorts: J.Crew

Pumps: Lulu’s (I think they are sold out :/ )

Sunnies: Asos

Necklace: Forever21

Lemony Lace

Happy Monday everyone! So this past week has been super crazy for me. Remember in my New Year post I told you all that I was planning on relocating in February. Well, instead of relocating I went to New York Fashion Week, lol. It was an opportunity that I could NOT pass up so I pushed back my moving date and finally the time has come for me to get going. I am in the midst of relocating and my biggest concern has been making sure that I get all of the random items I purchased online! On Friday, I finally received 2 out of 3 things in transit and of course I had to share them with you.

I scored this A-FREAKIN-MAZING vintage lace top on eBay! I have always and will always rave about the things you can find on eBay if you take your time and really pick through everything offered. The key to conquering eBay is by approaching it as if you are going thrifting. Have an idea of what you are looking for and start from there. Whenever you search for a specific item, eBay always gives suggestions of other items you may like that are similar to the one you are searching for. ALWAYS pay attention to these suggestions because you may find a gem in the midst of all the cubic zirconium.

This vintage top is from the early 1960’s fashion era and I wanted to play on that theme. So, I paired it with these great pair of tuxedo pants, super cute cork color block sandals and bold 60’s inspired sunnies.

What I am wearing:

Top: Vintage (eBay)

Pants: Steve Madden

Shoes: Purchased at a local shoe store

Sunnies: Michael Kors

I’m sure that I am not the only eBay junkie here. Have any of you found an eBay gem lately? If so, I want to see or at least hear about it! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

Peace Love Style,

P.S. The second dose of “How’d you put that together” is coming up tomorrow~! Stay tuned 🙂

Mid-Week Mid-Drift

We made it! Happy hump day everyone!

So at the beginning of the spring season I told you all that I was going to be incorporating white hues into my spring wardrobe. Well here is a look that falls in that category while showing of a little bit of skin.

When going for a monotone look, such as wearing all white, it is important to pay close attention to fabrics, various hues and textures to avoid looking totally one-dimensional. The skirt I’m wearing is apart of  a suit combo, but I really admired the sort of rustic feel of the fabric. It reminded me of a chic rug 🙂  I used this to my advantage and styled it in a way that would complement the sophistication of the skirt being a part of a suit and at the same time make it appear dressed down enough for a warm spring day.

This look gives off a very sleek tribal feel that I love! You can totally see me in a staged Congo movie scene, right! 🙂 Any who, I wanted to bring in the neon sandal for a quick pop of color. Neon is all of the rage right now so I think that this was a great way to incorporate it into my look. When it comes to accessories I have always been a minimalist. A necklace here, some cute earrings there. Most of the time I am rocking a pair of pearl studs and a watch lol. For this look I kept the watch and switched out my pearls for a cool pair of vintage earrings. The unique design of them caught my eye. They reminded me of a piece that could be found in an African village, which went great with the sort of tribal sleek feel I was going for.

What I am Wearing:

Top: Thrifted

Skirt: White House Black Market (old)

Shoes: Thrifted

Earrings: Bought at a local vintage shop

Thank you for stopping by, I hope that you all enjoyed the look! Talk to you soon!
